You may not want to skip any formalities when you’re attending a house party… especially when it comes to the hosts! But if you’re hitting up da club (do kids these days still call it that?) or a larger soiree there’s no real order of events, so feel free to head straight to the bar! Whatever your plans may be for this upcoming New Year’s Eve: house party, black tie event, dinner with friends, or PJs and pizza on the couch… you must rise and DRESS for the occasion!
Earlier this week we offered up some NYE outfit inspo (if you happened to miss it, check it out here), you didn’t think we would stop there did you? This time we’re serving up a couple of more “formal” ensembles for those of you who may be attending fancy-smancy events!
So most days of the year we live by the phrase “less is more” but on NYE “more is more”! Sequins, jewels, glitter, rhinestones, velvet, metallics etc., alllllll go together on this day!!!
Obviously there is a method to the madness when throwing all of these together but in short, NYE is a time to shine!!! Accessories are a great way to take an already amazing outfit and really bring it to the next level. This Kate Spade clutch is such a FUN accessory; you really can’t get much more “NYE” than this! Not to mention, strappy sandals and chunky statement jewelry scream NYE!
As for your outfit, the most important thing is that you feel like the total babe that you are and that you have an amazing time wherever you end up! Find yourself a dress and shoes that you can dance the night away in! Not only do you want to look amazing, but you need to be comfortable… sore feet have ruined far too many nights! TIP: if you don’t already insert these into ALL of your pumps, you aren’t doing it right!
Most importantly though: BE SAFE everyone, especially if – like us – you intend on sipping champagne until the clock strikes 12… and beyond! Call an uber, crash at a friends or prearrange a ride with someone… the alternatives are simply not worth it!
What are you up to this NYE? …comment below! Or feel free to tag us in your NYE posts… we would LOVE to see your outfits! CHEERS DARLINGS!
Sincerely your friends,
Katie & Kristin
